This Big Blue¨ housing is manufactured from the highest quality NSF listed FDA grade polypropylene. It is designed to act as a prefilter for a variety of contaminants. Big Blue¨ Housings are compatible with a broad range of chemicals. Reinforced polypropylene housings have excellent chemical resistance and are ideal for many residential, commercial and industrial applications. It can hold a variety of standard full-flow cartridges that are 4-1/2Ó x 10Ó length. Each cartridge has 4 times the capacity of a similar cartridge designed to fit a standard 10Ó housing. It has a specially designed High Flow cap with 3/4Ó NPT ports designed to accomodate flow rates of up to 50 GPM (189 LPM) with the finest sediment cartridges making it ideal for whole-house applications. The housing is sealed with a top seated O-ring and uses Acme square threads for leak-proof closure. Four bosses provided in the cap are used to mount the unit to a steel ÒLÓ bracket. A pressure-release/bleed button is provided on the inlet side of the cap. Rated for temperatures to 125¡F (52¡C), pressures to 125 psid (8.75 bar) and burst tested at 500 psi and 150,000 cycles.
