The MAXVOC¨ standard capacity 9-3/4Ó x 2-1/2Ó carbon block is made with a thick-wall coconut shell carbon particles fused into a exceptionally uniform solid carbon block with a tested filtration rating of .5 microns resulting in 99.95% cyst removal. This block is then wrapped with two layers of prefiltration media consisting of a 15 µm polypropylene spunbonded outer prefiltration layer and a 5 µm polypropylene melt-blown inner layer designed to intercept gels and large particles that can cause premature filter plugging.
