This cartridge utilizes a special fine mesh media specifically designed for high-capacity fluoride and arsenic reduction. This special media is capable of reducing fluoride content of feedwater that begins as high as 10 ppm to below .2 ppm. The filter body is constructed with high-grade polypropylene, sonic welded to assure a hermetic seal and overall reliability. It is filled with a premium quality fluoride selective resin. This cartridge will fit all standard 10” housings. Service life of the LW10FRC depends on the amount of fluoride in the water. Its capacity is 5,000 ppm. This means that if water has 2 ppm of fluoride (average for most municipal water that is fluoridated), the cartridge has the capacity to clean 2,500 gallons of water. If water has 5 ppm of fluoride, the cartridge’s capacity will be 1000 gallons.
