The filter cartridge fits all standard 10” housings. It features an outer shell of water-washed powdered activated carbon extruded into a solid carbon block. This stage is designed for high capacity chemical reduction including pharmaceutical residues, steroid hormones, herbicides, and pesticides. In its core is a Ster-O-Tap® microfiltration element. This is the first and only technology capable of providing a guaranteed 6 log (99.9999%) reduction of pathogenic bacteria, molds, spores and cysts, and 4 log (99.99%)reduction of virus without the need for high water pressure, electricity, or water waste.

This Ster-O-Tap® Combi will fit all standard 10” housings. It is best used when water has been pre-treated by the LW10KCER cartridge. Such pre-treatment will substantially extend its service life. The average service life of this cartridge is 2,000 gallons or 1 year if water has been pre-filtered by the 10KCER or 1,000 gallons or six months without such pre-treatment. In either case, replace when water flow is diminished.
